Born in Damascus in 1966, Hussein is happily married with three children. He studied English at school and at University and was helped greatly by his late father, who was interpreter to Field Marshall Montgomery (of Alamein) during the Desert Campaign. Hussein has visited England and Italy - having also studied Italian in order to guide Italian visitors to Syria.

   He became a professionally qualified tour guide in 1991 and has guided hundreds of visitors in large and small groups, as well as private individuals.

   Other professional activities: 1990 - 1991 Radio announcer English programmes. 1990 - 1992 Reporter for Al-Manarah Magazine (published in Greece).  Unlike many Syrian Tour Guides, Hussein is an international traveller and as well as having travelled in many European countries he has made several trips to China.
